What stays on your device

Your events, courses, athlete lists, heats and anything you run in “this device only” mode are kept in your browser’s local storage and never sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data deletes them; use “Export backup” to keep a copy.

Live rooms: what we store

When you create a live room so judges, a TV or a results page can follow the event, we store on our server:

Rooms are deleted 45 days after they are created. Anyone who has a room’s code can see its TV board, and its results page once the organiser publishes it — so organisers should tell athletes their name and times will appear on the gym screen and the results page, and offer a nickname or bib-only entry to anyone who prefers. Organisers are responsible for their athletes’ data; SimDay processes it on their behalf to run the event.

Deleting a room early

An organiser can ask us to delete a room before the 45 days are up: reply to any email from the beta list, or join the list and reply, with the room code. We delete it within 30 days. Athletes who want their name removed should ask the organiser, who can rename them and republish the event.

What else we store
